AI Features Policy

This AI Features Policy describes how Brain Dance Designs LLC ("we," "us," or "our") provides and governs the use of AI-powered features within the Sparky Notes Smart Editor ("the App"). By using the App’s AI features, you agree to this AI Features Policy in addition to our general Privacy Policy.

Overview of AI Features

The App includes the following optional AI-powered features:

  • AI Assist – Format and update recipes using AI. This includes the ability to import recipes from external websites by pasting a URL. Where permitted, recipe text is extracted and reformatted, and instructions may be paraphrased by AI. Images from third-party sites are not imported—you must provide your own photos.
  • Ask AI – Ask cooking-related questions and receive AI-generated responses.

Subject to OpenAI Policy

These features are powered by third-party services, including OpenAI. Use of AI features is subject to OpenAI’s terms of service, content policy, and use guidelines. By using these features, you agree to comply with those requirements.

Recipe Data Use

When using AI Assist, you may choose to include your recipe data in the AI request. If you select this option, the relevant recipe text will be sent to the AI service solely for generating the requested response.

  • For URL imports, extracted recipe text is processed in the same way.
  • Recipe instructions may be paraphrased to reduce verbatim copying from third-party sources.
  • Recipe data is not used by us or OpenAI for training purposes beyond what is described in OpenAI’s policies.

Personal Information

  • The App will never send your personal account information (such as your name, email, or login details) to the AI service.
  • You should avoid providing any personal, sensitive, or confidential information when using AI features. Any personal information you choose to share is your responsibility.

Permitted Use

  • The Ask AI feature is limited to cooking- and recipe-related queries.
  • The AI Assist feature may only be used to create, edit, or import recipes for personal use. Imported recipes are not to be republished or redistributed.
  • You agree not to use these features for unrelated topics, inappropriate requests, or attempts to bypass usage restrictions.
  • Attempting to import content from websites that prohibit automated access (such as via paywalls or robots.txt) is not allowed.

Limitations of AI Responses

AI-generated responses may not always be accurate, complete, or reliable. These features are intended to assist with recipe formatting and cooking-related queries only, and should not be relied upon as professional advice. You are responsible for evaluating AI-generated content before using it.

User Agreement

By accessing or using the AI features within the App, you acknowledge and agree to this AI Features Policy in addition to our general Privacy Policy.
